    A limited-edition cask strength single malt from Ardnamurchan, AD/02.22 is a combination of peated and unpeated whisky, matured in both ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks until September 2022. The palate offers notes of oyster shells, campfire smoke, waxy lemons, honeycomb, strawberries, black pepper and sea salt that linger in the finish.

    A fruity, sweet single malt from Ardnamurchan distillery, AD/ was made with a combination of peated and un-peated malt and matured in both ex-bourbon casks and ex-sherry casks. Aromas of toasted marshmallows, pebble beaches, orange oil and popcorn fill the nose, complemented by notes of melted chocolate, marshmallow, lime cordial, sea salt, bitter orange, dark chocolate and salted popcorn throughout the palate.

  • Bathtub Gin

    43,3% || Ableforth’s

    First, copper pot-distilled gin is made with juniper, coriander and other fragrant botanicals, but we don’t stop there. Instead, we take a portion of this gin and painstakingly infuse it with a further six fresh botanicals – a process which takes a whole week to do.

    This infusion process allows those fresh botanical flavours – too delicate to survive traditional distillation – to shine through, and Bathtub Gin is left with its unique flavour and distinctive hue.

    Nose: Fresh and bold juniper leads the way with fragrant citrus and cardamom. Notes of fresh orange peel and cinnamon add to an enticing nose.

    Taste: Juniper again leads, but there’s plenty more besides. The mouthfeel is thick and creamy whilst the cloves, coriander and cardamom offer depth.

    Finish: Here the supporting botanicals really shine with lingering cardamom and orange peel on the tail.

    This genever combines specific qualities of three different grain types.

    The grain spirit is distilled from equal parts corn, rye and malted barley. The corn brings a rich sweetness, the rye spiciness and the malted barley provides the backbone. The new spirit is triple distilled in a small pot still. Then it is partially distilled a fourth time with selected botanicals, juniper, Licorice and aniseed. Finally, the spirit and the botanical distillate are blended.

    From the Holyrood Distillery arrive this new expression, Height of Arrows. This is distilled by local whisky makers, who want the translate the whisky experience into gin. They believe in stripping back gin to its core essential, juniper, and only focusing on a select few botanicals. At 43% abv, this has surprising depth and complexity.

    Expect juniper to shine, with a certain dryness in the palate accompanying beeswax, and a lingering note of sea salt in the finish.

    This impressive blended Scotch whisky is brought to us by Adelphi, celebrating Charles Maclean, whisky expert, mentor, and Adelphi’s official Chief Nose. Created under his guidance and giving a nod to the landmark on the Ardnamurchan Peninsula, nearby to the Ardnamurchan distillery, this blend consists of 70% malt, with a high proportion drawn from sherry casks. Designed to showcase a classic west coast character, it’s brimming with salted citrus, praline, and oily smoke.

    Nose: Flamed orange peel, salted lemons, and charred driftwood, with stone fruits, sawdust, and a touch of smoky tar.

    Palate: Creamy notes of macadamia nuts, Caramac, and rice pudding with a burnt top. Zesty citrus follows, with floral malt and earthy smoke.

    Finish: Oily tar and smoky ash join toasted hazelnuts and creamy praline.

    Galician hops make the difference in the new Vermouth Rivera.
    The final result is a vermouth with a complex flavor and aroma in botanicals (Artemis, Wormwood, Lily of Florence and St. John’s Wort, among others) and a touch that makes it different due to its elegantly bitter background, marked by the use of hops from the Cascade variety, grown by our company in Galicia.
    The product is presented in a 75 cl bottle with a classic and retro image that also seeks to reinforce sustainability values, promoting its reuse thanks to the opening plate by means of a mechanical stopper, which allows the container to be reused once the product has been consumed.
    Vermouth is an elegant drink with a long tradition that has reconquered the aperitif hour and is a perfect complement to cocktails. Its basic formula dates back to Hellenic antiquity but its commercial origin is located in Italy, before spreading to the rest of the world.

    Rumbullion! is an incredible, award-winning spiced rum, exactingly blended using carefully selected Caribbean rum, Madagascan vanilla, orange peel, cinnamon, cloves and cardamom. It’s rich, complex and intensely decadent. It’s brilliant in the summer in all manner of cocktails, but it’s equally at home being sipped on a winter’s evening. Basically, it’s rather tasty and deserves to be drunk, whatever the weather.

    Nose: Wonderfully sweet Madagascan vanilla with clove and cinnamon spices supported by intense orange peel. Extremely inviting.
    Taste: Rich sugars and spices, orange oil, clove, honey and cola cubes. Full of flavour.
    Finish: Very long and spiced with creamy vanilla.

    Rumbullion! is an extraordinary cockle-warming spiced rum, but those clever Ableforth’s folks have changed the game with this limited edition Chilli & Chocolate expression! Criollo cocoa nibs, chipotle chillies and jalapeño chillies join the original Rumbullion! medley of Caribbean rum, Madagascan vanilla, orange peel, cassia, clove and cardamom, resulting in an indulgent and spicy flavour profile. Excellent served over ice, and it makes some marvellous cocktails too. Also, we reckon it’ll be stunning as a winter warmer splashed in a hot chocolate…

    Nose: Intense bittersweet dark chocolate leads with coffee beans, nutmeg, red cola cubes and orange zest in support. Earthy red chilli warmth emerges underneath and is balanced by creamy vanilla.

    Palate: Black Forest gateau, drying cocoa and more thick slabs of dark chocolate are at the core, with gingerbread, cherry cola and hints of aniseed and clove in the back-drop.

    Finish: Nutmeg, drying chilli heat and even more chocolate.

    The first release from That Boutique-y Rum Company’s Signature Blend range is here! Unlike the limited edition releases that make up most of That Boutique-y Rum Company’s selection, these expression will be continuous release, so you come back to them time after time – and after tasting them, you’ll definitely want to. Developed with Pete Holland (of off The Floating Rum Shack fame), this particular treat is made with a combination of unaged rum from Martinique and some particularly bold dark rum from Jamaica. It makes a phenomenal Daiquiri, we’ll tell you that!

    Nose: A delicately sweet and incredibly fresh and fruity nose opens with canned sugar cane juice, Conference pears and foam banana sweets, then dried pineapple rings, a little watermelon and a touch of pink grapefruit tartness. Green notes appear underneath with black olives, classic Martinique grassiness, a hint of seaweed and some eucalyptus leaves.

    Palate: Pear drops, pineapple and banana bread develop from the nose before some vanilla oak appears on alongside green apples, white grapefruit, stewed winter fruits, salted caramel and a little heat and spice from ginger root.

    Finish: A touch of funky Agricole joins a prickle of black pepper spice, more olives, kiwi fruit and sugarcane sweetness.

    Overall: Bright and balanced, this blend will make the Daiquiri you deserve.

    Here’s the second Signature Blend from That Boutique-y Rum Company, and this stuff makes a mouthwatering Mai-Tai! Developed with Pete Holland (who you’ll know from The Floating Rum Shack), this terrific expression is made from a combination of particularly rich Guyanese rum and some wonderfully funky Jamaican rums, resulting in a flavour profile you’ll want to return to again and again. Luckily, you’ll be able to do so, as the Signature Blend series will be continuous releases from the Boutique-y bunch! Ideal!

    Nose: Through oily walnuts, rich molasses, dark chocolate, oaky tannins and spicy nutmeg there are pitted Medjool dates, raisins, papaya and banana bread.

    Palate: More woody spice, a hint of engine oil and sweet tobacco makes way for coconut husk, juicy pineapple and roasted apricot. An underlying note of sugarcane is present among darker notes of game meat, coffee beans and returning dark chocolate, before herbal notes of black tea and eucalyptus emerge.

    Finish: Salted caramel, tropical fruit and drying oak.

    Overall: Dark, deep and refined, this is one delightful blend. The mightiest of Mai Tais awaits.

    Fruit gins were once all the rage: lemon gin, orange gin, even asparagus gin once graced the shelves of liquor stores the world over. Now, they’re back with The Boutique-y Gin Company Cherry Gin. We’ve taken a Classic Gin and added a combination of sweet and sour marasca cherries, as well as a good pinch of spice. A fun and fruity gin, this is delicious as a sipper, but eminently mixable, too; try it with a splash of cola and a wedge of lime for a taste sensation.

    Nose: Plump and juicy – homemade cherry pie with a generous scoop of vanilla ice-cream.
    Taste: The succulent fruity sweetness of cherry, a touch of spice, and a slight citrus tang.
    Finish: The lingering tartness of sour cherries, accompanied by the juniper berry, which makes an encore appearance.

The herbaceous perennial is enjoying a resurgence in popularity not only in the culinary world – the terrific tang of rhubarb is carving out its own place in the world of booze! We wanted in on the fun, and thus, our Rhubarb Triangle Gin was born. We’ve sourced rhubarb solely from the famous Rhubarb Triangle, formed by the cities of Bradford, Leeds and Wakefield, to make it – you might even recognise a hint towards these cities on the label…

    Nose: The sparkling zing of crisp rhubarb with lemon shortbread.
    Taste: A voluptuous texture with powerful rhubarb notes coming through, complex and fresh. A zip of citrus, pinch of spice and then the unmistakable dry flavour of juniper.
    Finish: Refined and lasting hints of rhubarb crumble, rhubarb soda, and even a touch of rhubarb and custard sweets.

    A rather cheeky new addition from That Boutique-y Gin Company: Spit-Roasted Pineapple Gin.
    Popular in the 1920s, but long since forgotten, pineapple gin is back with a 21st century twist. Whole pineapples are roasted on a spit with Demerara sugar until a beautiful caramelisation occurs. The pineapple is then combined with some bold and bright gin.

    The result? The height of decadence and avarice that needs to be tasted to be believed.

    Nose: The inside of a pineapple fritter – juicy, with a touch of zestiness and light caramel.
    Taste: An indulgent harmony of flavours greet the tongue: a beautiful mix of sweet and sour pineapple and rich, sweet caramel.
    Finish: Lingering sweet pineapple, as well as the dry, crisp freshness of the gin, inviting you back in for another sip.

    A late 2016 release from the Wolfburn distillery, matured in a combination of casks – 40% of this whisky was aged in second-fill quarter casks, 40% in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels and 20% in first-fill Oloroso Sherry hogsheads. An exciting release from the distillery.

    Nose: Almonds and pecans, with a wave of sweet, sticky Sherry notes.

    Palate: Raisins, currants, more mixed nuts and fresh barley.

    Finish: Lingering Sherried spice on the finish.

  • Wolfburn Northland

    NAS Bourbon Barrel
    Becoming Scotland’s northernmost mainland whisky producing distillery when it released its first single malt in March 2016, Wolfburn is built just 350m away from the ruins of the 19th century distillery from which it takes its name. With long fermentation, slow manual distillation and maturation taking place at least partly in quarter casks that previously held peated whisky from Islay, this is a release we’ve eagerly anticipated!

    Nose: Orchard fruits, apple pie, a fresh maltiness, almonds, magnolia and a suggestion of smoke

    Palate: Honey Nut Clusters breakfast cereal, sweet spices, chocolate croissant, more honey towards the end, and a subtle earthy peatiness.

    Finish: Long and fresh, with even more rich honey notes

    Overall: A deliciously complex single malt from one of Scotland’s newer distilleries – they are hitting it out of the park!
